About Event
Al Brown & The Bluelighters
Al Brown is the country’s finest blues guitar player of the modern era without question. His virtuosity and immaculate taste is unparalleled. Al’s debut solo album also revealed him to have a rich, warm singing voice with a depth that matches his wonderful guitar playing.
Catch him here, for the first time in Glasgow in 5 years, alongside his friends The Bluelighters. A collaboration of Sheiks, Strange Blue Dreams and Vintage Explosion members that provide a swinging, rhythm section with fiery guitar playing married to harmony vocals.
Baby Sheiks
A lively collaboration of Baby Face & The Beltin’ Boys and The Shiverin’ Sheiks, two of the city’s hardest working roots rockin’ bands.
Combining the best of both groups they swing a country fried rockin’ sound of hill billy blues, 50’s rock & roll and elegant ballads from yesteryear.
The D’Eldorados
Having built a cult following among the rockabilly set and lindy hop crowd The D’Eldorados are a super-hot offshoot of Scotland’s “beat sensations,” The Kaisers.
George Miller, who fronts both bands teamed up with legendary Glaswegian rock n’ rollers The Kingpins.
Their set, stuffed full of gems from the 40s and ‘50s features great songs of the era, lesser-known oldies by the likes of Stick McGhee, Billy Lee Riley, Carl Perkins, Warren Smith and Roy Hall are brought back to life with authentic finesse.
