Following the Scottish Government’s announcement on Tuesday 21st December, we are currently awaiting specific instructions and updated sector guidance. We will update guests and audiences as soon as we have received this information.
Our current Covid-19 guidance including the Vaccine Certification Scheme, the safety measures we have put in place, and what we ask of you, when visiting Òran Mór…
Guests attending our nightclub prior to 6th December will be required to provide a vaccine certificate. After 6th December guests can provide either a vaccine certificate or negative LFT.
Guests attending events with dancing that continues after midnight are included under the scheme and will be required to provide a vaccine certificate. After 6th December guests can provide either a vaccine certificate or negative LFT.* This includes Christmas Party Nights and Hogmanay.
*All Auditorium bookings that will require guests to provide vaccine certificates or negative lateral flow test results will be contacted in advance to confirm requirements.
If either of the above options that require you or your guests to provide a vaccine certificate or negative lateral flow test applies to you or your group, each guest will be asked to present evidence that they meet the criteria for entry.
We will accept either a digital copy on your mobile or a paper copy. For more information and to obtain a vaccine certificate, please visit NHS Inform or download the NHS Scotland COVID Status App (Scottish residents only).
People who live elsewhere in the UK can provide confirmation that they are fully vaccinated in one of the following ways:
2. Negative Flow Lateral Test Result (only accepted if attending Òran Mór after Mon 6th Dec)
We will accept either a text or email negative result confirmation – this must be dated the same date you are attending Òran Mór (or day prior if arriving after midnight)
How do I get a Lateral Flow Test (LFT)?
You can obtain LFT in one of the following ways:
How to get official confirmation of negative test?
All test results should be reported on the UK Government’s website. You will be asked to provide a number from your test or scan a QR code, both of which are available on the lateral flow device. You will then be asked to say whether the test was positive or negative. The NHS will then send a notification of the test result to an email address or phone number.
If you are unable to provide evidence of your double vaccination, or lateral flow test (only accepted from 6th Dec), in line with Scottish Government guidelines, you will unfortunately be refused entry. Tickets are non-refundable.
We do hope this doesn’t cause you or your guests too much inconvenience, and would like to thank you for your understanding and support in this matter.
We would kindly ask you to respect our staff. We are doing our best to keep everyone safe and operate our venue under strict guidelines. We want everyone to enjoy their time with us, including our lovely staff!
We will require you to sign in to Test & Protect when arriving at Òran Mór by scanning the QR code on entry.
Face coverings are required when moving around our building and during our performances (including the Òran Mór Christmas Panto), unless exempt, eating, drinking or dancing. Staff are required to wear masks at all times.
Sanitising stations are available throughout the venue for your use. We encourage visitors to sanitise their hands regularly.
We continue to implement increased cleaning procedures according to hygiene protocols.
Although we only require proof of a negative result for specific events/areas, we do encourage all visitors to take a rapid lateral flow test prior to visiting Òran Mór.
Following Government advice, you should not attend Òran Mór if you have tested positive for COVID, are displaying symptoms, or are required to self-isolate.
We operate an Air Displacement Ventilation System in our premises ensuring a maximum air change at all times.
From 26th December 2021 one-metre social distancing will be reinstated between groups. Please act responsibly and be considerate to other visitors, giving them time and space where possible to move around, understanding we all have different needs.
