Òran Mór Covid-19 Guidance

Following the Scottish Government’s announcement on Tuesday 21st December, we are currently awaiting specific instructions and updated sector guidance. We will update guests and audiences as soon as we have received this information.

Our current Covid-19 guidance including the Vaccine Certification Scheme, the safety measures we have put in place, and what we ask of you, when visiting Òran Mór…

Do I Need a Vaccine Passport?

Following Scottish Government guidelines, the Certification Scheme applies to late night premises with music, alcohol and dancing between midnight and 5am. Not all areas within Òran Mór will require you to provide a certificate or negative lateral flow test (LFT) result, see below to find out if the scheme applies to you or your group.

As all live music, comedy & theatre events finish before midnight, no vaccine certificate or negative LFT result is required.

Guests attending our nightclub prior to 6th December will be required to provide a vaccine certificate. After 6th December guests can provide either a vaccine certificate or negative LFT.

Guests attending events with dancing that continues after midnight are included under the scheme and will be required to provide a vaccine certificate. After 6th December guests can provide either a vaccine certificate or negative LFT.* This includes Christmas Party Nights and Hogmanay.

Both weddings & funerals are exempt so guests do not require a vaccine certificate or negative LFT.

We do not have a designated dancefloor within our Whisky and Victorian Bars, so no certificate or negative LFT is required.

Guests dining in either of our two restaurants or Private Dining Room do not require a certificate or negative LFT.

A Play, a Pie and a Pint performances do not require a passport or negative LFT.

*All Auditorium bookings that will require guests to provide vaccine certificates or negative lateral flow test results will be contacted in advance to confirm requirements.

Keeping You Safe

To help you feel more comfortable returning to Òran Mór, we have set out below what safety measures are in place, and what you can expect when visiting us.

We will require you to sign in to Test & Protect when arriving at Òran Mór by scanning the QR code on entry.

Face coverings are required when moving around our building and during our performances (including the Òran Mór Christmas Panto), unless exempt, eating, drinking or dancing. Staff are required to wear masks at all times.

Sanitising stations are available throughout the venue for your use. We encourage visitors to sanitise their hands regularly.

We continue to implement increased cleaning procedures according to hygiene protocols.

Although we only require proof of a negative result for specific events/areas, we do encourage all visitors to take a rapid lateral flow test prior to visiting Òran Mór.

Following Government advice, you should not attend Òran Mór if you have tested positive for COVID, are displaying symptoms, or are required to self-isolate.

We operate an Air Displacement Ventilation System in our premises ensuring a maximum air change at all times.

From 26th December 2021 one-metre social distancing will be reinstated between groups. Please act responsibly and be considerate to other visitors, giving them time and space where possible to move around, understanding we all have different needs.
