Hannah & Suruthi met at a party 2 years ago, drank wine, agreed to start a true crime podcast together. And against all the odds they actually did. RedHanded is now a runaway success, which just goes to show you should always do what you say you are going to do drunk (unless it’s murder).
Suruthi developed a passion for all things dark and true crime related growing up listening to her grandmother tell scary stories of murders, monsters and magic.
Ever since then she has felt that crime is a great mirror to hold up to a society or a culture and Suruthi, being a woman of colour, has a strong passion to explore and cover stories that affect a diverse range of people and victims.
After graduating with a BSc and MSc in Economics, Suruthi quickly knew that the world of finance wasn’t for her and she side stepped into conference production. These days Suruthi chats true crime all the time.
Hannah caught the true crime bug after watching the death penalty documentary ’14 days in May’ at age 16 in a sociology class. After graduating with a BA in Social Anthropology from The School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London) in 2013, Hannah taught English as a foreign language in Costa Rica and South Korea.
In 2015 Hannah returned to the UK, and worked in theatre. She swapped the musicals for murder in January 2019.
